One Piece: 7 Haki Users Stronger Than Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. Despite starting his journey only a few years ago, Luffy has become one of the most powerful pirates in One Piece. In the short time, he has beaten characters like Kaido, Katakuri, Doflamingo, and Cracker.

Luffy’s battles have helped him grow as a fighter, and they have also improved his abilities. Presently, Luffy can use all three types of Haki, and he has even learned to use their advanced versions. However, he still lacks experience, which is why there are a few One Piece characters who have superior Haki.

Shanks

Captain Of The Red Hair Pirates

Shanks is arguably the most powerful character alive in One Piece. Like Luffy, Shanks rose through the pirating ranks rapidly and ended up becoming the youngest Emperor in history. What makes Shanks’ rise so impressive is that he was able to accomplish so much with just Haki.

Since he has been fighting for such a long time, his Haki has become so refined it’s nearly impossible for an opponent to overpower him. Shanks’ Conqueror’s Haki is his strongest asset. It has been confirmed that he can use it to nullify the Future Sight of his opponents, which puts them at a significant disadvantage. Shanks’ Conqueror’s Haki is also extremely potent, as he managed to scare away an Admiral without lifting a finger. As things stand, Shanks is a better Haki user than Luffy.

Scopper Gaban

Left Hand Man Of Gol D. Roger

Scopper Gaban used to be Gol D. Roger’s left-hand man. It is unclear when he joined the crew, but it has been confirmed that he stayed until the crew disbanded. Prior to the Elbaf arc, there was a lot of speculation about Gaban’s strength, but Oda put all of it to rest once the Straw Hats landed in the country of Giants.

Scopper Gaban does not have any Devil Fruits, but that didn’t stop him from becoming one of the strongest fighters in One Piece. Gaban has mastered the use of all three Haki types, and he’s also one of the few individuals who know how to bypass the regeneration of the Holy Knights. Since Luffy doesn’t know how to use Haki to hurt immortal beings, Gaban remains superior to the young pirate.

Whitebeard

Whitebeard was the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates. He was different from most big-name pirates because he did not desire fame and power. Whitebeard only cared about his family and their safety. With time, it became a taboo to attack a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, as it meant risking war with the “Strongest Man in the World.”

Whitebeard possessed the Gura Gura no Mi, a Devil Fruit so mighty, it could destroy an island within seconds. Yet, Whitebeard didn’t just rely on the Devil Fruit. He mastered the use of Haki, as it allowed him to fight other Devil Fruit users. Whitebeard didn’t get enough opportunities to demonstrate his Haki proficiency, except for the one time when he matched Roger’s Haki. From his recent showings, it’s quite apparent that Luffy hasn’t hit Whitebeard’s level yet.

Gol D. Roger

The King Of The Pirates

Gol D. Roger was the King of the Pirates and arguably the strongest character from the old era. Roger was an adventurous and courageous individual who never ran from any challenge. He would welcome battles with open arms.

Roger was a talented swordsman, and he relied on Ace in battle. He combined his swordplay with his Conqueror’s Haki and Armament Haki, which resulted in a devastating combat style. In his heyday, Roger’s strength was nearly unparalleled. Presently, Luffy is still below Roger in terms of Haki usage.

Davy D. Xebec

Davy D. Xebec was the main attraction of the God Valley Incident. Despite so many big names being involved in the incident, it was he who stole the show. Davy D. Xebec was a pirate who believed in his strength. In fact, that’s how he recruited new crewmates.

Xebec did not have a Devil Fruit, yet he was still at the top of his era. To this day, he remains the only pirate to have killed an Admiral. Xebec was also an elite swordsman who utilized his Haki in combat.

Imu

Imu is the true sovereign of the world, who has been alive since the Void Century incident. They hold absolute power over the World Government, and whatever they say goes. Imu never used their powers before the Elbaf arc, but after watching them in action, it became clear why they are at the top of the food chain.

Imu has access to a plethora of abilities, including Haki. They used their Haki in Elbaf, and it was so potent that even people in the Underworld were able to sense it.

Joyboy

The First Pirate In History

Joyboy was the first pirate in history. He was likely from the Ancient Kingdom, whose existence has been erased from almost everywhere. Joyboy was the number one enemy of Imu and the rest of the World Government.

The 20 allied nations sought to destroy Joyboy and the Ancient Kingdom, and unfortunately, they were successful in their endeavor. However, their victory doesn’t diminish Joyboy’s status as a legendary character. Since Joyboy has yet to fully appear in the story, it’s difficult to gauge his power. However, there is a strong chance that he may be the strongest Haki user in the history of One Piece. After all, his sealed Haki was so powerful that it overwhelmed the Five Elders and sent four of them back to Marijoa.
