Tonight was huge for the Democratic Party, who swept every race of any importance and most of the minor ones as well. One might think the President of the United States, who just saw his party suffer an extinction-level event in Virginia, might want to take some responsibility for the fury of the American people at his administration and the backlash to the Republicans that lick his boots.
Just kidding, of course not! Trump’s first response was to pass the buck, since oh, HE wasn’t on the ballot! Posting to his personal echo chamber, Trump writes “TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT,” according to Pollsters.”
Yeah, who’s fault is the shutdown, Trump? Judging from these results, people do not blame Democrats!
Then he went back to his happy place and the only thing he ever really cared about — his TV ratings — to try to cheer himself up.
“JUST OUT: The 60 Minutes interview of Donald J. Trump, on CBS, Sunday night, was the highest rated 60 Minutes IN YEARS!” wrote Trump.
It brings us such great joy to think of the anguish and frustration being felt in Republican war rooms across the nation tonight while they go to find out what their Dear Leader has to say… and he’s talking about his TV ratings for the first sit-down interview he’s done in literally years.
This is a wake-up call. Tonight is a reminder of what we can do when we organize, when we get the vote out, when we have the courage to stand up for our principles, we can win and we can win BIG. It is also a reminder that a sad little narcissist stands in between us and our freedoms, and his laziness, corruption, cruelty, and selfishness will ultimately spell the political doom for him and all his pathetic yes-men.
Tonight, we start the long, hard fight to take our country back.
